Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
i am learning about heat press press transfers and need to make decision/buy t-shirts to start printing.
my first choice was costco's kirkland shirts but my wife suggested to try with something else beacuse they don't look so good as a t-shirts.
I have some big stores close to my place, like target, wal mart...etc. is there any good white blank t-shirt that can be bougth in such places and used for heat press transfers?
I searched this forum to find internet t-shirt wholesales but was confused with so many different names. is there a one that you can recommend? when you buy small number of blank t's (10 - 20) what is the average price?
Old navy is having a sale right now that is 50% off of all reduced prices, I got baby/child blanks. High quality soft blanks for $2 each. They had adult shirts as well. You may not be able to do this every time you need blanks but you could find 10-20 easy.
I go 2 times a year to all my stores (TCP, gap, old navy, gymboree I know all the clearance sales patterns lololol)) to get blanks. They will reduce them to $1 - $2 each. Thats how i get quality and keep my prices down. How i have to do it without a resell number!!! Certainly the cheapest way for me!! They always have millions of the plain ones CHEAP!
Whoa, you have to watch out when doing heat press transfers with transfer paper that your shirt is "Preshrunk".
Target is not, and I found out the hard way when it shrank in my wash test. Walmart's are preshrunk, and outside of being way too thin, the cut was nice and shrinkage was not an issue.
I don't do anything else, so I wouldn't know if you are doing sub ink or dtg, without knowing other factors, if you could grab stuff and not consider shrinkage, but with vinyl heat press transfer papers, shrinkage will ruin your shirt.
That said, Alpha shirt company will allow you to open an account and there are no mins. Best wishes to you.

I just spent about $200 on tee's and sweats from Jiffy. Easy to order from and quick delivery. I ordered on a Sunday and everything was here when I got home from work Tuesday evening.
There are several websites that sell at low prices without a resale license. Do a yahoo or google search on "wholesale blank t-shirts". These sites may charge a handling charge for small orders so, you'll want to look for that before you buy.
If you're looking for white shirts, Dharma Trading sells retail. I use their soft transfer paper, and I've bought shirts and other wearables from them in the past.
