Default How would I tackle a multi-transfer shirt?

I have been curious about the possibility of combining several elements on a design.

Can a person use an inkjet heat transfer, then go back and add something more on top of it? Like rhinestones, vinyl etc?

Also, what about if you would like to do multiple areas at once? Can you lay pieces of the design around the platen and press at one time? Is there enough time to peel several backings off of it?

Has anyone tried these techniques? I would love to hear about them!

PS: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

It sounds like you need a teflon sheet!

with a teflon sheet, you can press one area, peel, then press the next, placing the teflon sheet over everything, etc...

Thanks,

I wondered if repressing would hurt the original transfer or make it not stick as good.

The only thing you might run into with inkjet transfers is that the ink may change colors, but I haven't experienced that yet.

Repressing transfers actually presses transfers even more into your shirts, and in general is considered a better thing.

stuff like that just requires a little bit of experimentation. I have never had much success with cold peel plastisol transfer on top of each other. We put the rhinestones over other prints all of the time, and don't have a problem.
