Default Am I ok with this setup? Feedback Please!

Hey guys, I am new to the t-shirt industry and looking to cover a lot of aspects of short runs and individual orders. I know there are a ton of methods but here is what I came up with.

*DTG Printer (HM1) for any cotton shirt with a detailed design.
*Roland 24' Vynil Cutter for any solid color design especially on dark garments because a DTG Printer wont do so well price/quality wise with darker garments so I figured with Heat Transfer Vynil I could cover that pretty well.
*Laser Heat Transfer Sheets (havent decided on brand yet) for non cotton items or cotton with a looser fiber which DTG wouldnt work good on. I figured more along the lines of hoodies, sweat shirts, sleeves (just because its easier to line up), jackets, etc with heat transfer
*Laser Printer (Oki C6100N) I was only looking into this particular printer based on recommendations. I really have no other basis other than that and the specs look good.
*Heat Press (DK20S 16 X 20 Swingaway) wanted a swing away so my wife could operate it with ease and we have the room so I figured what the hell.

What I am really looking for with feedback is if I am covering all the right areas with the right methods. Like I said, 95% of what we are looking to do is short run 1-30 shirts as well as custom shirts to possible sell online. Would this be the best setup? Is this good equipment? Any adjustments (either to or to take away) that I should consider?

I am totally new to the scene so other than seeing samples and demonstrations I have no actually "made" t-shirts.

Any feedback would be great... thanks!

As long as the dtg prints the white ink you would not have an issue with needing vinyl. I do dark garments all the time with solid color designs and have never even thought of using vinyl. I use a dtg printer. In my opinion the dtg has a very soft hand even on the darks it is not very heavy at all compared to what you will feel with vinyl. Also with hoodies and sweat shirts, they make them with 100% cotton face that work great with the dtg printers. sleeves are also very easy if you have a sleeve platen. These are just my opinions but I think if you are going to buy the dtg, you should make sure you do as much as possible with that machine to save from investing in other equipement that really is not neccesary. It is amazing what you can do with a dtg and the quality is very nice.
