Default Any ways to get around inkjet lines?

I've been pressing a lot of t-shirts using standard transfer paper and an inkjet printer and the printer has been giving me some problems. When I print out designs white lines appear throughout the colors, and are completely random. I've tried cleaning the print heads multiple times but with no success. Any suggestions?

what printer..? if heading cleaning did not work...the 'banding' is either clogged nozzle or clogged head...Printers do wear out so you may have to replace

What type of transfer paper are you using? Clearsoft?

I had a similar problem with ClearSoft, small white flakes fell off the transfer paper, got into the inkjet printer, clogged the print heads and paper sensors as well as making small white marks all over the shirts where color should be.

It ruined my printer and several dozen shirts.

Could the alignment be off?

The printer is a brand new Epson Stylus Photo R260, and the paper is Alpha Gold Dark. Also, the lines aren't consistant and show no preference to certain colors.

Hi,

I'm very new here, and I have had two brand new Epson printers this month, the CX8400 and the C88+.

The images printed with random fine, white lines in it. I ran the test for dirty nozzle heads and it came back fine. I cleaned them anyway just in case, but no change.

I had to go into maintenance and do the print head alignment. After that, there's been no problem. (Both printers came out of the box with the alignment way off. Both printed text fine, it was the images that were affected by the alignment. After the print head alignment, all was fine.)

It may not help, but who knows...
