I am looking to purchase a vinyl cutter I understand what they do but can't afford the GX24 so I was looking at the SV-12 does anyone have any feed back for me should I purchase it or keep saving.
Check out the copam 2500 for about $600. It is used a lot by members here and they seem to like it. You can get it off ebay (One of the few product I would buy from Ebay)
You can get a 24" pcut on ebay for about $170. You should be able to make enough money off of it to buy the next one up and go from there.
A word of caution. A fair number of the plotter sales on ebay are scams. They are getting pretty good at stopping them but keep your eyes open on these. Also, My guess is there is a lot of shilling going on as I see the same plotters relisted quite often. We have been looking at these for a year and at least 25% of the ones we looked at were relisted. A red flag as far as I am concerned.
