Default Has anybody used the new Jet-Pro SoftStretch heat transfer on Tote Bags?

Has anybody used the new Jet-Pro SoftStretch heat transfer that Lou tested and videotaped on tote bags yet?

I tried it today...using the recommended 375 deg @ 30 secs.....and it seemed to leave a ligt brown discoloration around the outsite of the image and on high spots on the bag. I'm wondering if the temp and dwell is a bit too much for tote bags?

The tote bags I am using are the same Toppers used by Lou.

Thanks!

John

I was wondering if anyone had tried them on tote bags yet... Did you use a teflon sheet on top of the Jet-pro softstretch? Would it be possible to press for 15 seconds or so, then open the press, and then press again for another 15 seconds?

I, also was wondering . . . I have more of the Jet-Pro SoftStretch coming today . . . I will have to check it out -- the weekend is coming and I need a few totes for the store . .

JOHN . . . did you pre-heat the tote?

I am not sure, but I believe 30 @ 375 might be too much for totes. You might want to try adjusting your time and temp and see what happens. I am curious, I know I read this somewhere, but I can't find it now, is the SoftStretch hot or cold peel?

I believe they can be hot or cold peeled.

Yes...I used a Teflon sheet on top of the design.

Not sure if you could do that...never tried it though.

I agree...

I think I'm going to try pressing at 350 for 30 secs and give that a try. If not, I'll play around with some lower settings.

I haven't but I tried the "Iron Man" from Coastalbusiness and it is perfect for canvas tote bags.
