Donald do you mean Sublimation paper? Transjet ll paper will not work with Sublimation inks. I haven't heard of Similation paper.

As for your press. a good way to get a good pressure to start is to take 4 pieces of paper about the size of a dollar bill or you can use dollar bills. Loosen the pressure knob, place the paper on on the lower platen on all 4 sides and close the press. Try to pull the paper out with the press closed. If you can pull it out, tighten the pressure knob 1/4 turn, close the press and try to pull the paper out again. Repeat this until it's just tight enough so you can't pull the paper out. This is a god starting place for t-shirts. You may want to tighten it another 1/4 turn after that point. You want the press to have a little resistance when closing but not so hard it takes two hands to close it.
When you switch to doing sweat shirts, tote bags, mouse pads or something thicker than a t-shirt, you will need to loosen the pressure knob slightly. After pressing a few jobs, you will get the feel for how yours needs to be. All presses differ slightly. Have a safe & BLESSED Thanksgiving.

God Bless You
Don

Donald, I haven't heard of a Sublimation paper called Transjet ll. The only Transjet ll paper I know of is for pigmented inks.

On the knob. Turn the large one counter clockwise, the the left and see if that loosens the pressure on the press. What brand and model press do you have?

God Bless You
Don

to bolster what Don has said...there is no transjet II sublimation paper...there is transjet II ink transfer paper...NOT the same as sublimation. My guess is that you are using inkjet transfers which as on top of the garment...and sublimation embeds the ink into polyester fiber..with sublimation you MUST use polyester or polymer coated substrate.. So tell what printer you are using and the type ink.. It sounds like you are using pigment ink on a regular inkjet. Sublimation ink will cost about $300 for a 4 cart Epson C88 or about $450 for a six ink system or up to $1000 for a bulk system and ink.
