Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Thanks Robin. I have always printed out care instructions for my embroidery and think it prevents a lot of potentional problems.
I have the new toy(heat press ) in from car and set up- read thru everything and am now trying to decide which design will be the sacrificial turkey for my first attempt. LOL
[quote=dan-ann;193728]How do you recommend washing heat press items when you sell them? Inside out , no heat . air dry?
Do you enclose instructions with your shirts?
Happy Thanksgiving Sally,
I have done over 16,000 transfers with the Magic Mix inks and MagicJet (Transjet ll) paper with no problems. I just tell them to throw them in with their regular wash with any detergent and dry with regular heat.
The best way to test your image for bleeding is to take a pressed shirt, put it in the bath tub, soak it and fold the image over onto the blank part of the shirt, then press it down with your hands. Let it sit this way for about 30 minutes, unfold it and if it hasn't bled, your good to go.
