Default Fed up with epson printers

Every epson I have owned ALWAYS ends up with head clogging. I bought a cis for my cx5000 and can't get the heads clean. First any suggestions for cleaning witout using ink. Second Is there another non epson printer that uses 4 cartridges. I have a major project this week and got to get things going. Thanks Bruce

can you get/do you have empty cartridges for the printer? inject them with windex and run cleaning cycles. everybody i've known with bulk ink systems has clogging problems - i've stuck with carts the whole time i've owned mine....and *KNOCKING ON WOOD!* never had a serious problem....

The Printer Filling Station sells a cleaning solution for the other cartridges in Epson printers. I was told by them that you can NOT use amonia or alcohol solutions in the cartridges - it will clog them.
