Hey, i work at a vinyl shop now for about 2 years and was wanting to start vinyl heat pressing on the side with a hix press that i have. Wondering this:
How do i do 2 and 3 colors on a shirt, just press the 1 color then press the additional colors seperate?
What can i do to make sure the shirt does not fade/crack/peel when the client washes it and also whats the best tips to tell the client?

yes and if you use a hot-peel film you won't get the stretching and pulling that i find common with the cold-peels i've used - it's a lot easier to align additional colors properly

with normal laundry care thermoflex, multicut, hotmark, etc. will NOT fade, crack or peel. it will far outlast the garment onto which it is applied. it cannot, however, be dry-cleaned.

We've been trying to figure out which stretches more...hot peel or cold peel. I think you're right, Jan, cold peel stretches more.
Mark just made an *8* color shirt this weekend. He didn't get PERFECT registration, but with a little pulling and stretching of the shirt after each color it didn't turn out too bad.
This is a discussion about few questions before i buy a press and thermoflex that was posted in the Heat Press and Heat Transfers section of the forums.
