Default Just tested 4 inkjet opaques

Hey everyone,
Just back from Sgia Orlando. Picked up 4 different inkjet opaque tranfer paper. I did a full color dificult hat design(1/4 in. letters) on all 4 papers and transfered them to same brand and color hat.
1. Inkjet dark II
2. AW dark
3. Jet Opaque
4. Forever Dark

I printed the design, cut the design (Roland), weeded the design, and lifted the design with magic mask then transfered according to the papers directions.

Results:

The german made forever dark surpassed all as I graded every step above in dificulty.

My Question: A 11X17 full back design will cost about $4.00 with Forever Dark
Is there a better system for full color darks????
And yes I allready have a DTG Printer, Thats why I'm looking for a better way to produce dark shirts.

I have tried Forever Dark Laser transfer on tshirt and it cracked the first time through the dryer. Not sure if the inkjet is any better durability wise.

Try the new Ironall for dark. Newmilford has the 11X17 size. Works for Inkjet and Laser printer. Super flexible and very thin.

A member has successfully cut it with GX24 cutter using 60 degree blade with 60 grams force.

The best system that I know for dark colors is a solvent based printer and compatible media.

For instance, the Roland Versacamm or a similar printer.

The printable media for this is typically sold on rolls and has much greater durability than standard inkjet paper with inkjet inks.

Not that I'm aware of. Most solvent based printers are for the signmaking industry; ie. Mutoh, Roland, Mimaki, Gerber etc.
