Looking for opinions on how big of a deal it is to have a digital temp/pressure gauge vs non-digital. I'm looking at possibly getting the Mighty Press 16x20 or the Mighty Press Digital 16x20. Is it just more of a luxury to have digital? Or do you actually have fewer quality/transfer problems due to more accuracy of digital temp/pressure? Hope this makes sense. Thanks.
I am a fan of digital temp read out...but not so enthused with the pressure gauge. I have been doing this long enough, I get get a feel for what pressure should feel like for whatever I am pressing. I also have a hix 400 which has a temp guage..not digital and it has been a dependable workhorse, so ..depending on price would be the driving force for me
I agree with Charles.I pyrchased a laser thermometer from Haror frieght for 39.99 and use it to check the gauge for a true readout. I bought the thermometr to check for accuracy and cool spots for all my presses digital or analog..... JB
Digital is great! I have a Phoenix 16x20 and a Hotronix Draw press 167x20. Both work great. I'm thinking of selling ther draw press since I don't need to presses.
The results that you will obtain will not be any different with either machine. Most of our customers have purchased the non digital. Probably a cost factor and the non digital has been a workhorse in the industry for many tears. Also, much less expensive.
