hi, i am new to this forum and this fun hobby,

what advice do you give a new person, i am getting a hix swingman 15.

can i print with my Epson R380 or do i need a different one.

Do you need special ink? I cant wait to get it and try it.

I have the HIX 15x15 swingman. WOrks very well.
Does your printer use the durabrite inks ? If not sure go to epson's website and see. If it does then your good to go.

You should use pigment inks not dyes.

If your printer uses or can use the durabrites you can use them. Or get a CIS with the heat transfer inks (everlast, MIS, Magix Mix etc). Or if available refillable cartridges.

Epson says the ink is Claria??

Not well. It is dye based ink. You want to go with a pigment based ink, like Durabrite. It lasts longer.
