Default Which epson printer?

Hello,
Ok I think for the low cost I am going to buy an epson inkjet printer. UNLESS someone can talk me into Laser. I only plan on printing small wording for baby onesies. I am ok with a printer that only prints 8.5 x 11. I have read on here that the epson C88 is a really good printer... BUT i can't seem to find it here in Ontario..... WAl-mart, staples, or bestbuy dont' sell it. I was wondering is there a newer model that has replaced the C88??

Thanks again everyone,
Michelle

not sure how this helps but I went to Espon's Canadian site and they still list the c88+. here is the link
EPSON Canada, Limited - Product Information - Epson Stylus C88+

you might contact them and see where it is available or order directly from epson

I have a C88+ refurbished printer, and it is working really well. You can't even tell it's refurbished and not new, and it was a great price, free shipping and a warranty.

I have only heard great reviews about the C88+ and the C88...it's funny you said you can't find one in Ontario, I just bought mine from Ontario and I live in the southern states. When I get it we'll put it to the test!

The c88 is a great printer, I also use a cx5000, it is a all in one.I find the scanner to be invaluable for transfers

I have, and I was quite pleased with the results. The only drawback is I haven't found anyone to carry a Continuous Ink System for it. Other than that I am happy with my purchase.

I have an Epson CX5000.
I can seem to get the color balance with this printer.
The transfers have too much yellow!
Any one experienced this?
Could it be the transfer paper?

Is the c88 recommended over the cx5000?

Hi everyone!

Is the CX8400 better than the C88 for printing transfers?

Someone here said they find the CX5000 scanner invaluable for transfers? Are you able to scan an image in and print it onto transfer paper? If yes, is there a way to flip the image for any lettering in the picture? ALSO, if you say getting one with the scanner is better than just a regular c88 or c88+, than is the CX5000 better to get than the CX8400?

Thanks so much!! I can get a better deal on Bestbuy.com on the cx8400, but want to pick the c88 if it's a better transfer printer, or choose a CX5000, if that's better yet than either.

YELP!

Best regards!
