Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I don't wash my shirts and have never heard of anyone doing that.......... but i suppose you could.
when i put my shirt on my press I usually stretch them over the press. (if that makes sense?) I think most people lay the shirt on the press right side up , but I do mine upside down, I find it easier.
There's also a great little tool that one of the members on the forum here makes. http://www.teesquareit.com/

And that would be me. Thanks for the plug. As for the washing. You don't prepare your shirts. The idea of a pre-press is to get the moisture out of the shirt so the transfers will stick. if you selling you shirts definitely don't wash the shirts. If the shirt is for you well I guess you will be washing it after you wear it. Lou

Thanks for the great info and taking the time to reply. Obviously, I am very new at this and appreciate your help. I will definitely check out the tool you mentioned.
Thanks Lou, I just purchased your Tee Square It Tool. Once again, thanks for all your videos you have out there. I can't tell you how helpful they have been, especially to someone just starting out. Cheryle
I just eyeball mine, but I've been a carpenter for 20 years so I can do that. Some can't. I just head for the machine with the shirt and line the middle of the collar with the middle of the machine and then use my fingers to make sure the bottom of the shirt lines up. Hope that's clear as mud.

I just had to do something. I thought I was great at eyeballing myself until my clients called me. Really upset the wife as I had to redo some of the stuff which I felt obligated to do. That's no way to make money. The old eyes and trifocals just don't do it anymore.
