Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I'm in Australia so my supplier is probably not applicable to you.
I don't know about that.
Remember you are only shipping paper with Glitter inks on it, although the paper that the glitter inks are printed on is heavier than normal plastisol non-glitter paper, but still, its only paper with ink on it.
Also, with Global trade, it is becoming a lot easier, quicker and less expensive to ship international.
and, when setting up a release schedule for transfer designs/product line (not rush jobs), the transit/delivery time can be accounted for to meet the clients finish dates etc.
another advantage with dealing with a company from another country is that now you have a solid contact there that can be used to your advantage. Like perhaps expanding the distribution of your goods there etc...
there are some benefits, depends on the criteria and each case/job/production details i guess.
But if location and quick delivery is extremely important to you, may be look at Asia (if no luck in australia). In Asia/Orient, they are well advanced in transfer tech more then most people know. Also, since a lot of big Major fashion brands use them for production purposes, you are sure to get the latest *custom plastisol transfers* tech/methods etc. at a fair price. The problem is finding the right connection i find. May be because i'm far away.

The main reason I said that Australia would not be applicable is that our dollar is very high at the moment, so it would be a better deal to get stuff done locally or through Asia.
I was also thinking that offshore production of transfers increase turn around time and make communication a little harder (due to time zones and language barriers).
Obviously the language issue is not a prob with Aus.
