Hey all,
My adjustment knob on my press is getting so stiff it doesn't want to work anymore. What grease do I need for it? Would regular axle (moly/lithium) grease work? I didn't really want to use regular axle grease because of the slim possiblity of getting it on a shirt and ruining the shirt.

Any suggestions?

dosen't WD-40 or whatever it's called work on everything ?

Lucy,
Yeah, wd-40 works on just about everything for a short time. The knob has grease of some sort on the thread. Probably packaging grease.......

Just thought maybe there might be a special grease for the presses. I'll just try the moly/lithium grease and see what happens. Worst case is get some on a shirt!!!!

I've been a farmer all my life. Grease, duct tape, and baling wire fixes everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any lubricant should work. I'd think machine oil would do the trick and would be easier to use than grease.
