If you have any questions let me know. remeber I do not sell this paper so don't ak me for an order.
Do you think this paper signifies a change for the inkjet transfer business?
I have been wearing that tee all day and I am amazed as to the feel of the shirt. I know the design is there because it is cool to the touch but it is a heck of a lot softer then any opaque transfers I ever used. The problem is still going to be people wanting to do writing on dark tees and thinking this is going to allow them to do that. it is not unless it is part of the design and the surrounding is filled in. Now that said when i get my Roland i will try cutting it and see what results I get. I know John is a little worried about the acceptence of this paper but I thin he should be safe. I know a lot of you guys will be trying it and have mixed results. I know this paper will probably come out with different names from different suppliers. Lou By the way there was a longer version of the video but I had to cut it by half to get youtube to take it.
hey lou
like always you did again..... hollywood is looking for a new actor....

..... Now that said when i get my Roland i will try cutting it and see what results I get.....

You must have missed the post. i am getting it for free. I won it from new Milford Photo. So my wife is very happy now. Actually I came in second. But because I am an advocate of the iron all paper they thought it would be a good idea to give me one also. Now with this new video who knows how much business I will drive to them. Understand this. I do not work for them and do not accept pay offs for testing and reviewing their products. it is an honest evaluation and hopefully gives you guys insight as to what the product does.
Heres a tip on how to make the black print look better. My nick name for it is super black.
Typically when a job is printed on a CMYK printer, the black is predominantly printed with the black ink, but slight amounts of extra CMY inks are added to richen the color.
If the graphic is first processed in photoshop, it is possible to edit the CMYK channels individually. What i like to do is adjust the levels, select all areas on the black channel with is 99% black (tolerance 1) and paint that selection to also print 100% of CMY. The CMY add up to one black and the black channel prints a second layer of black. This results is a super black.
While clearly more ink is use, the black will be dramatically darker and richer.

Fred, thanks for the information. Black has always been a problem with printed transfers for a lot of people. Putting you info in my "How to" section of my book... Oh wait.. I don't have a book.. yet..
If you own a DTG printer why would you want to print on opaque paper. A DTG printer gives a more screen printed look and feel than a heat transfer. If you don't have a DTG printer that prints on dark. It would be a good idea on trying to find an attachment instead of spending the money on opaque transfer paper. Just my opinion.
