Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I have an 9'"x12" heat press. Is there an way I can use bigger transfers with this press. I was thinking may I can press a section at a time. Can this be done or do I need to go a get a bigger press.
well............it CAN be done, but i don't recommend it - it's nerve-wracking and generally inconsistent. do yourself a huge favor and get a bigger press - and get a bigger one than you think you'll ever need!
It is nerve wracking to match up images..and there will part of the first press that will get heat again and this might change the image a bit.. As Jan says..get a bigger press. the mighty press 15x15 is not bad in price..
Its not a big deal to do. I do it all the time. Do one section of the transfer, peel it about 1/4 of the way and move the shirt and do the rest. Pretty easy, and I always have good results.
As one that started with a 9 x 12 press all I would add is don't try. Do it right.

It is very tempting to get lured into a discount press, but PLEASE dont do it. I was short on cash getting started and bought a Sunie, and all of my transfers have peeled. It does not give good results. I have had mine 3 months and I am looking to buy a name brand. I guess I got my moneys worth. Save the extra 300 and buy right.
