Default National Screen Printing heat press-paperwork?

Hello,

We just purchased a used National Screen Printing heat press. Does anyone have any paperwork/instruction manuals for one of these presses? It is a 15" clamshell manual press.

The timer appears not to work. It heats up and has good pressure(paper test) but there is no mark by the temperature dial to know where to turn it. It is numbered form 0-10 instead of temps, but there is no way to know if it is on 1 or 10. Can anyone tell me where the "mark" would be to know "which way is up" on this dial?

Thanks for any help!

Do yourself a favor and buy a infured thermometer to help adjust your temps.

Mine is from Harbor Freight and have had great success with it. Some haven't had good luck with them however.
The prices are right and you can always test your thermometer by boiling some water and testing your thermometer. Water boils at a specific temp and you can judge the accuracy by pointing it at the water once it boils well. Water never goes beyond the boiling point temp (212 deg) no mater how hard the water boils.

if it's off exchange it untill you get a good one. or - make a mental note on how far it's off and do your math when adjusting your heat press with it.

Most if not ALL heat presses have #'s instead of temps on the dial so it's not unusual.
My HIX press is 400 deg at a BCH below 9 and 210 deg at an RCH below 6 but always finalize the temp with a thermometer.
