Default Which way to go qto print children's clothes

Hi everyone

Righteo - I am new to this game and am trying hard to figure out the best way to go. I would like to print bright colourful images (which are made up of lots of colours) onto white and coloured clothes for children.

I am all set to buy a heat press and a cutter (as I would like to do flock and vinyl designs along with multicoloured images). The question is what method to use for printing my image onto the coloured t-shirts. I have had samples using transfer paper and chromablast (only on white t-shirts). I am not too happy with the transfer paper as it sits on the fabric, doesn't seem to hold it's colour when washed and you can see a coating where there is no image. The chromablast looks pretty good (have not washed it yet) but I have heard on this forum that this aint all it's cracked up to be??

I need my finished products to be washable, hardwearing and able to be printed onto a range of bright colours (although not black!) - am I asking for something that does not exist outside of screen printing?

I have read about duracotton and ironall transfer papers on here but I am in the UK and can't seem to find stockists - does anyone know of alternatives or stockists in the UK?

If anyone has any advice for me I would be very grateful - it may stop my head imploding with the sheer amount of info I keep collecting on this!!

Thanks
Caroline
