Default Getting Roller Marks on Heat Transfer Paper

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the roller lines which are showing up on my printed transfers. I'm using an Epson CX7800.

It is leaving a dirty line in multiple locations on the page when printed. (It is ruining my printed images) Is this typical of all inkjet printers for heat transfers.

Is it possible to get in and maybe clean the rollers to stop this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric

just got a c88+ used it for the first time yesterday, had some problems with roller marks as well. Put the settings to text and image and used the letter paper source and didnt have a problem. So maybe try differnt paper source.

Try setting the paper type to thicker material.

With the C88 there was some complaints of that here. Someone was able to remove the wheels. I think they refered to them as "Pizza cutters"

I have a CX5000 printer. There is a mechanical switch that allows changing the roller pressure between envelope and sheet media. Check your user manual for the location. Try that if your printer has it. The transfer paper might be too thick and cause the rollers to press hard on the media. I have that problem with thick transfer paper.

As s tated above. I bet you are using iron all? You should use the text /photo selection for printing. Those are called pizza marks. i have cx7800 as well as a c88+ and since I reduce the image printing to above I do not have the problem.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Much appreciated!

I found the lever on the CX7800 that adjusts the pressure of the wheels
for different media thickness. Also, I've taken note to print using the text/image selection rather than straight photo or best photo setting.

Thanks again,
Eric

I'm having the same problem with IronAll and my 1280. Where is the 'text/photo' selection? I can't seem to find it. I'm printing from Illustrator and Photoshop (on a Mac if that matters) and the only choices I have under Print Settings are:

Economy
Normal
Fine

Photo
Best Photo
Photo RPM

... but I can't select anything except for 'photo' and 'best photo' as the other options are 'grayed out'.
