Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I had a 1280 and when it was beyond repair bought a new cx5000 all in one. Both printers after printing a few sheets of paper or transfers would start showing missing ink lines. Cleaning heads would work for a while but it uses so much ink that I'm always replacing ink. I use Epson ink. My business is conducted at on site locations on weekends doing custom transfers for people. I print anywhere from 100-300 transfers per day. It is busy at this time but very little during the week. I'm using iron-all paper. I would like a all-in one printer that won't do this. I'm tired of the challenges of the Epson. Would do you think might work for me? Help! Thanks Bruce

With that many transfers a day I am surprised you are not using a CIS system. That alone will cut your ink cost down 75%. Also if you are using Iron all paper for all those transfer I am not sirprised you are having blockage issues. The chemical compound used will and did probably clog your print heads. is there an alternative to what you are doing. Not really. Most printers have the same basic concept in print heads. You might want to switch to laser and different transfers. I would also consider a c88 as your printing tool not an all in one. The c88 you can place a cis system in. Lou

At that rate it sounds like you might be beating it to death. Are you also being careful in the transportation of the unit? If they get knocked around it can mess up the heads.

Those numbers equate to $1500-$4500 a weekend in shirt sales at $15 each. I think maybe it would be wise to run several printers or look into DTG. CIS system for sure as Lou stated.
