Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I'm buying a heat press soon and want to make quality shirts that I can sell, I see everyone recommending plastisol, can I get quality out of printing my own transfers? I see the epson c88+ is a popular printer, anyone have any recommendations for an all in one using the pigment ink? thanks.
alright so it's obviously gonna be better quality but what about printing my own transfers is it worth it, has anyone gotten good results? what is the average cost for a plastisol transfer?
A lot of us do own transfers...quality depends on printer inkjet or laser and then the quality of the paper. Right now I have not seen a good paper for dark garments..there are a couple good papers for light colors, imageclip, duracotton, chromablast or ironall. search the forum for info on these and others and also check our forum vendors. I think the cost of the plastisol will depend on size..etc..contact a vendor direct

You can find all kinds of results, experiences, suggestions, tips and photos of printed transfers by searching the forums for inkjet transfers or ironall
You can also search for printer recommendations and find lots of hits and suggestions.
Plastisol transfers will vary in price depending on the design and the quantity you order. If you visit a few of the plastisol transfer websites, you will see some pricing posted. If you don't see the pricing, you can email or call them and they will usually send you some more information.
