Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I have to order a 3-line text design from one of the graphics companies. What product is going to work best on sweatshirts, Plastisol or what they are calling "sports film", "thermo-film"....what is the big difference between the "films" and the plastisol ink transfers, does one apply and or hold up better than the other?
As Rodney said they are both fine and will hold up if applied correctly. I use vinyl for 99% of all text designs.I use the Hotmark 70 vinyl and have shirts that are worn out , but the design still looks great. good luck. .....JB
Like everyone said, if applied correctly both are great.
If you have a plotter, the vinyl is easy to cut and weed, espically just with text. A 3 line text design would cost you about 1.00 - 1.20 depending on size to cut yourself.
The vinyl will very much outlast the shirt without cracking or fading if applied and washed correctly.
