Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Duracotton HT is also a laser paper that is supposed to be zero trim, zero hand. Duracotton is a single stage process. I have ordered some so we'll see.
There is a company Unique4YouOnline.com Website that manufactures self weeding transfers for inkjet. The are not selling small quantity in the US as of now. Except for large volume buyers and dealership agreement. I just received sample to try as soon as I get an inkjet printer.
There is a member who has done evaluations of the paper. Check the link below:
There is one no-cut inkjet paper that some people here are testing. I don't know if it's officially for sale yet, but they are selling samples. Maybe someone who is testing it will join in. Here's the thread where it is being discussed...

Duracotton is not recommended for light shirts except white and ash. A white polymer box shows up on the first wash. Imageclip does not have this problem.
Some users are having problem achieving zero hand zero cut with Duracotton also.
Not knocking down Duracotton but most of these issues are posted in the Duracotton thread.

where do you buy image clip can i use it with a Xerox Phaser 8550
Is Phaser 8550 using laser toner? If it is then the answer is definitely yes. You have to actually try it first with solid ink. I am not sure how the solid ink will work as a medium to hold the polymer from the transferring paper (green). You see solid ink is actually colored wax. Polymer from the transferring paper(green) may not attach to wax. Try it anyway you have nothing to lose but a lot to gain if it works.
The Imaging paper(red) does not have polymer coating so you do not have to worry about jamming or sticking to the fuser. Ask the vendor what is the best paper setting for your printer.
You can get sample from any vendor that sells Imageclip.
If you have problem using Imageclip just do a search thru http://www.t-shirtforums.com/search.php using Imageclip for a keyword. There are lots of posts concerning the use, issues and solutions for Imageclip.

I dont know about Phaser solid ink with Imageclip but I tried the solid ink with Duracotton and the print on the garment was a bit washed out looking and after a wash there was a huge washout...for me it was not acceptable

Yeah, I just replied to a member that uses Phaser solid ink printer. He is having problem with the polymer from Imageclip transferring paper(green) not transferring to light color, such pink, on the Image paper(red). I suspect it is due to solid ink.

I have a cheap samsung laser printer, black only. Will this imageclip work in it or would it mess my printer up ?
As long as you have good quality print Imageclip will work. Get a sample from Coastal Business so that you can try it for yourself. GeorgeB is a member who started with monochrome laser printer using Imageclip. Send him a PM and ask him the quality he was getting with that b/w printer.
