Default Have you ever made a grilled cheese with your heat press?

I'm sure we all thought of it. I was just considering it while making grilled cheese for my lunch.

I thought " why am I heating up a pan when I have my heat press going?"

So has anyone actually done it?

When I was in college we'd do it with an iron and two sheets of paper.

No, but i do use my Flash Cure unit to make toast, and my tunnel dryer to reheat pizza. I hope no one tells me that I'm going to give myself cancer or something by doing this.

I've thought about doing that myself. But I figured I'd get in way too much trouble!!
I guess if you wrapped it up real good in aluminum foil it probably wouldn't make much of a mess.
Why don't you try it and let us know how it works!!

I was thinking just between 2 teflon sheets. It'd just peel right off if any cheese got on them.

Actually a customer of ours told us a stoy about heating one up in his press for his daughter at an event. He had the cheese sandwich in aluminum foil and just fliped at 60 seconds (total time 120 seconds)

Imagine that!

This thread reminds me of why I'm terrified of hiring employees and then having to leave them unattended with all my expensive equipment.

When I worked at a place printing transfers, we used to set foil wrapped food on the conveyor dryers to heat it up.
