Default Photo-quality inkjet transfer inks and paper?

I'm looking for the best way to print photo-quality images on American Apparel shirts.

Basically I want to use an Epson inkjet printer, and my heat press.
The prints have to be high quality, and preferably soft.

I'm new to the inkjet way of printing, so I need to find out about the best paper to use and/or inks.

Thanks for your help.

Google 'dye sublimation', it is used on light-colored polyester fabrics as well as a plethora of sublimatable items such as mugs, license plates, coasters, key rings... the list is long and distinguished. I'm not familiar with "American Apparel", cotton fabrics are not well suited to ink jet dye sublimation. Only the ink is transferred, it's bright, detailed and will last the life of the fabric. Hope that helps.
Kind regards,
Sean

search the forum...there are a couple of papers that will do that BUT only on white/ash/light colors.. It does not exist for dark or colors...unless you have DTG contact. Sean is right about only polyester for sublimation...It will look nice when press but 50%+ will wash out the first time...the ink just will not adhere to the cotton fibers..
