Default ironall problems

Hi guys.. I just purchased ironall.. I printed the image and it came out nice on the paper...however when I pressed it and took it off the press... the image looked a bit cracked (wasnt smooth)...the reason I bought this paper was to avoid cracking, etc.... I press it at 395 degrees with pressure of 25 seconds... please help...did i press it too long?? or not long enough?? or was the temp to high or low??? thanks guys!

You need to lower your temp and time, try 345-350 for 17 seconds.

I usually get a good result with 375 for 20 seconds. Also make sure that you peel it quick.

I agree with Robert. When you press it though right after you raise the pres stretch the fabric and design and it softens it up.

Lou, I too have achieved tremendous results using your guidelines (375 - 16 - firm - peel hot - stretch). I'm even using an antique Quick Set swing away press with a thermostat that isn't acurate and no timer (except for my fingers). I'm printing with an HP 4215 with standard ink. Colors stay strong after wash and get so, so soft. Thanks for the advice

If you stretch it too much you will see lines in it. You can watch some of Lous videos - http://youtube.com/results?search_qu...&search=Search - where he shows you how to work with ironall.
