Default boo-zwearhouse.com NOT SECURE

boo-zwearhouse.com is not secure at this time. Just went to place an order and no lock showed. ALWAYS check for the lock when placing an order online.

Did you call boo-z to tell them about this?

I had actually e-mailed them yesterday for a price on custom transfers...and they told me this:

"Please reply back to this email address. My other computer has a virus"

Maybe they have a "bug" in their web server too?

To be honest, I would run screaming to another company. Now, it is worth bearing in mind that I am paranoid. But that is the standard operating tactic of people who have hacked into people's eBay accounts: you don't know how long you'll have access, etc. so you redirect them to an address you have complete control over, and proceed with the fraudulent transactions from there, using the legitimate trusted account as a gateway just to gain trust from the dupe.

Again, I am paranoid. I have no idea if that's what's going on here. But with an abundance of good companies out there, my personal reaction when presented with both of these data points would be to shop elsewhere until I had confirmation everything was definitely a-okay.

"By the time you figure out you're hacked, it's too late."

If they were hacked and someone stole the info...
that someone would be using the cards right now to buy things.

So don't bother calling Boo-z, unless you're looking for some stroking.

You're best bet is to keep an eye on your online credit card statement for the next couple weeks...
or call your credit card company and change your card number.

Yeah, I didn't reply back. It was my first time contacting them too. I would hate to just hand over all of my credit card and other personal data to the wrong person.

The e-mail address I had gotten that from was [email address] I'm not sure if it is legit or not.

I went ahead and went with another company because I was a little nervous about ordering from them. Maybe everything is just fine, I don't know. I wouldn't want to risk it though.

It's not uncommon for commercial websites to get hacked...
but to anyone that understands the logistics, it's easier than ever to get hacked.

I don't know that Boo-Z was hacked...
but "admitting" an email virus, not a good thing (shows a major lack of security and PR knowledge)...
as stated, an email virus is the first sign of trouble.

Be aware, a "virus" is not something that's done for fun...it's the blight of capitalism.
It's an intelligent individual that's trying to take advantage of another (with less knowledge), in the hopes that it will benefit them financially.

The internet is the street, without the confrontation.
