Default Heat press to bring to shows

Well, our first big show went fairly well. We actually made a profit and we got some orders from people, as well as interest from a local store. We are booking additional shows through the holiday season and decided that it would be a good idea to bring the heat press to shows. We have a 15 x 15 swing away and it is pretty heavy. We are considering buying a smaller press to use for shows and for baby clothes. Our transfers are usually in the 6 "x 8" range. Would one of the smaller (and lighter) presses do a good enough job? Does anybody have any recommendations?

Thank you,

Ronni

I used a Mighty Press lite 9x11 initially for events. The press is totally manual so you will need a kitchen timer. We outgrew the press quickly and we now just take the 15x15.

The majority of our business is conducted at shows with 'on demand' shirt press. We have taken a 15x15 Mighty Press (clamshell). It is a real workhorse.

Hix corp also has a couple of smaller, lighter presses in both a swing-away and clamshell. However, as mentioned above...most of these presses are more manual (maybe no digital timer, maybe no digital temperature,...). It really depends on whether you are the only one carrying a press or if you can have two people do it. Two people can carry almost any clamshell press. If money is not an issue, then I would make sure that you get a digital timer and tempertature. It is very easy to get distracted when you are doing event production. Best wishes.
