Hey there. I just wanted to know if anyone has used or is currently using a Epson R260 ,R380 or RX580 inkjet printer. I have a choice of these 3 printers and just wanted some input/feedback on what anyone though. Thanks.

Sorry I didn't mention it. I was wondering if the printing quality of these printers is good for ink transfers. As much as I would hate to use them I believe they are a integral part of a small producer who is doing personalized shirts. Alot of people seem to use the Epson C88 but I honestly can't find one of those at any pc shops or box stores in my city. I know its mostly the inks that make a difference but the printer must make a difference as well that's why I am asking.
If you want the c88.You can get it on ebay brand new for a good price.I think the reason we all use the c88 is the accessories( bulk ink system). I use a cx5000 epson all in one. I use the oem ink and just figure the ink cost into my profit margin. Good luck....JB
From what I have been looking at you can get bulk systems for these. I just want to know if the quality they print is better than the c88. From the specs it seems that they do but I want to know if anyone has tried them.
I just noticed that the printers i posted do not use durabrite inks but the HD inks. If I got a cis system for either one of those printers could I use something like that magic mix ink in there?
You have to remember that printers that use Dye ink have different print heads then the ones that use pigment ink (Durabrite_ You could have a problem as Pigment ink may clog the heads. If it was me I would get a c88+ for transfers.

If the OEM inks are pigment inks (like the epson durabrite inks are), then yes, you can use them for inkjet transfers.
The inks that come with the c88+ are perfect for transfers.
Well the printers I am looking at do not have durabrite ink but the cis systems that I can purchase for them come with a pigment ink that is comparable. badalou, I have watched your video on the ink transfer paper comparison. What printer did you did you use to print those sunflower photos? Is dye ink actually better than pigment ink for tranfers?
yes i was also wondering which printer would be good
any thoughts on the EPson C88 and Epson 1280 for printing color designs on T-shirts. and is the Epson R1800 worth the extra couple hundred bucks?
thanks
