Re: heat press amount of time? Hi Dyer, I'm afraid on 50/50 the look will be not "vintagy", but washed out - so don't expect great results. There are a few threads on this subject already that you might want to read. Search forum discussions for sublimation on 50/50 t-shirts. What ink, paper and blanks are you using? Do they come with any pressing recommendations? Temperature for dye-sublimation is supposed to be 400 F, but pressure and pressing time is something you will probably have to figure out by trial and error. If you have a shirt to spare - cut it up and experiment. For polyester shirts pressing time may vary from 35 sec to 60 sec – not sure about blends, I avoid them J If you "over-cook" your shirts cotton thread might yellow. Same might happen if you use some kind of spray for cotton-rich fabrics. Good luck! |
