Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I just got a sample of a plastisol sheet (13 x 19 Black) from Joto paper. Now what I find interesting is if I get a job for 12 tees single color I can in fact order the sheet, called Tuff Cut and have them here in days. Place the sheets on my cutter and do my own design without sending it out. These are plastisol sheets and they sell on the high end for $3.95 each. So you can expedite your orders with out waiting for a transfer company to make the transfers which can take up valuable time. I guess I will have to do a video on this after I try it my self. I bought one to try. Of course you still need to weed it. Lou

So let me get this straight. This is a paper coated in plastisol that you can use in your cutter like vinyl? And it presses on like a plastisol transfer?

Wow! Please let us know if it is the same quality as a screen printed transfer.
Excuse me for inavding your post, no matter what I try Safari keeps unexpectingly quitting when I try to create a post. It is only letting me reply. And this is somewhat on topic...
Are screen printed plastisol transfers above and beyond as far as quality when compared to home printed transfer? Are we even talking apples to apples - or are they in different leagues altogether?

Lou I use them alot and love them, the only thing is you can't stack with tuffcut like you can with multicut.Tuffcut is really good for work shirts that get tuff use and washing.
I look forward to your video and by the way I showed my husband your neighbors wife's picture and he was speechless, first time in 10 years.

I think the plastisol transfers will be a welcomed addition to my busness. As far as getting speechless I get to the point when I am talking to her that I don't know what I am saying. I do know when she gives me a big hug that my chest hurts afterwards.

Nothing wrong with keeping the old blood flowing through the arteries.
Have a wonderful evening

This is exactly the stuff I was asking about in my other thread: ThermaCut or TuffCut?
Lou, how easy is it to weed, and how difficult is it to do multiple-color designs with it?
Thanks!
Hope i'm not horning in but it weeds very very easy.
You can't layer colors because the won't stick, it's for 1 color designs.
Now if you had something where the colors didn't have to overlap each other that would work.
Hope this helps.

ThermaCut from Beacon seems to be the same stuff. I wonder if that will layer at all? They show a two-color design (LA Lakers) as one of their example photos.

I've never used the thermacut so that may be something for me to check into.
Also the tuffcut doesn't have the sticky backing like the multicut, but it works so well it doesn't matter to me. Both multi and tuff- cut very easy, weed easy and peel easy, can't go wrong there.

Well, tomorrow I'm ordering supplies from a bunch of different places and TuffCut and ThermaCut are on my list. I'll report back on ThermaCut. We'll be using that for a run of shirts we'll be doing right off the bat.
ThermaCut comes in slightly larger than 2' x 3' sheets.
I'll also be using glow-in-the-dark TuffCut for our first company shirts. Those should be done this coming weekend.

I'm pretty sure Imprintables has a similar product as well. There's probably a few around to compare/use if you have a preferred supplier already, etc.

Yes, it's like comparing spam in a can to filet mignon steak
