first of all i would like to say this is a great forum. ok i'm new to the business. i wish i knew about this place before i went into the equipment buying spree. i have a epson 4800, i'm using image jet lite 2 transfer papers. the inks were bought from the paper ranch and i believe they are dye based inks. i was reading alot of post in here about dye based and pigment inks. my question is should i just bite the bullet and change my inks to pigment based inks? starting a new business i don't want to have shirts that bleed and get a bad rep. i've been printing and pressing with the dye based inks and whatever i do it seems like all my shirts bleed lil bit. has anyone had any success with dye based inks? if i do switch do i have to clean out my printer before doing it? what should i watch out for when i do switch over? i know this is alot sorry about this long thread
