Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
i have some things like (paper that i accidentially reversed, and other material that i experimented with) how do i clean the top of the heat press off... is there any stuff i can use from staples (got a card from there)
That happened to me... Watter was not enough to clean the mess I made so I used Isopropyl alchool while the press was at a rather low temperature. This product is a solvent so be carefull and check first if it affects the coating of the top plate of your press. This product is INFLAMABLE so you have to use it while the press is at less than 40ºC or so. I don't know the flash point of this product so if you use, this or any other solvent be very carefull because they are all inflamables!!!
anything i can use when its cold??? i dont feel like getting burnt

Hand peel the paper off when it's cold, then heat it back up and press to white typing paper (clean sheet after sheet) until no more residue comes off. Then using a clean (light colored) dry towel, t-shirt etc., wipe down the heat platen.
God Bless You
Don
I like to use a solvent or alcohol on a thick rag to wipe the press while it is hot. Be careful.
I had to demo this once at a tradeshow. I was talking to a group of customers while preparing to press a sample. Another interested customer flipped the transfer over while I was distracted...good times.
