So between them is a good amount of space. It's not just a square.
Even though it's not a square, a good amount of trimming can still be done.
What brand of transfer paper are you using?

What do you think about that ASH color...saleable?
Sure, some customers like ash and some don't.
The customer will tell you what they want. I wouldn't try to sell the customer on ash because it's the only thing you can print correctly.
I would find out what the customer needs and figure out how to provide that service. Each customer will be different.
One customer needs 1 white t-shirt with their grandkids. Heat press it with an inkjet transfer (or outsource to a
DTG printer)
One customer needs 25 black t-shirts with their one color white company logo on it. Buy some plastisol transfers and use your heat press to apply them to the shirts.
One customer wants 10 ash colored shirts for a martial arts class. Decide whether you want to use your inkjet transfers or get some plastisol transfers made.
Customer comes to you and needs 500 navy t-shirts with a website logo on it. Get contract pricing from a local screen printer (or one online) and figure out your profit margin.
Figure out all the options that are available to you and have the pricing sheets ready. Then, when a customer needs a job done, you can handle just about anything.
