Default Opaque transfer does not stick to the tee

I am currently testing the transfer papers from NewMildford photo and i ran into a little set back...

The blue grid opaque transfer from NewMildfordPhoto isn't totally sticking to the t-shirt...

I've seen the video from Badalou... and read a lot of posts...
And the outcome... well for a newbie i can say i messed up

I'm very picky about what i do and i don't like to make mistakes... that's just me!

So i printed the transfer in my D88+... european equal to the C88+... in the "plain paper", "photo" setting and used the -15 yellow, +5 magenta, +5 cyan setting.

The colours we're originally a bit dull as expect, but after pressing, at 190 degrees celsius (about 375 fahrenheit), and 16 seconds and medium/high pressure, the colors turned brighter... the problem was that i passed a smooth cloth i have over the baking paper and tried removing in a hot peel... like badalou's video... and some parts of the image tried didn't stick to the t-shirt... i became worried... so i read somwhere to repress it... i did... 2 more time... the result... some parts sticked... and one little part didn't...

As a result of the represses i think i scorched the transfer a bit(i was expecting this... but hoping it wouldn't happen...) and the colours became a bit dull... the orange was bright and colourfull... and then became a bit darker...

Can anyone tell me what should i do? my teflon sheet is coming in the mail... but i was eager to test the opaque transfer!

By the way... i honestly like the plastic feel of the opaque transfer paper... but the i like the light to... so the i'm currently using the test t-shirts so that i can wash them in the next few days to look for cracks, peels or bleeds. That's my main interest!

Hope i'm not being boring... i usually write alot...

Hope someone can help me!

btw: here is the my first coloured shirt (the red heat doesn't stick properly... in the edge) i cut it as round as possible so there would be no rough edges!

You may want to take an old shirt and do some trial and error for now. Use one sheet of the transfer paper and print the same image 4x and try experimenting with the time and temperature.
4 example...
Use the 1st one on the front, 2nd on the back, then switch it back over and do it again, near the 1st one, making sure to cover it again so it doesn't melt to the press.

what do you think?
This is badalou OK, well thanks for watching my video.. Not sure if you had this or not but when you pressed the shirt were there any ridges, like the collar on the press when you shut it down on the transfer. You would be surprised to know that you may think that the press would flatten that but it does not. You need to make sure that with a opaque transfer that the material is perfectly free of any surrounding ridges. If there is then you may want to place a mouse pad under the area where the transfer goes to raise it away from the rest of the shirt and press. let me know. You like the plastic feel? Oh and no question is boring..

Thanks for the feedback!

Celmoso - i am was eager to test the paper into a whole shirt but i will do that test! i'm just waiting for my teflon sheet to arrive so that i can do the press first... remove paper... and then press again for a few seconds... anyways for now the business will run only on white tees since the drawings are very colorfull, just want to test for the future! I'll probably just start making coloured shirts when i have enough money to buy a CraftROBO with Optical Eye to cut the image as they have many forms to cut...

Badalou - your videos helped alot... and the forum members and post helped alot too! I made sure there weren't any ridges! i evened it out with my hands to make sure the t-shirt didn't have any creases... and them prepressed the t-shirt for about 5 seconds to make it really smooth and even...
It may sound strange but in fact i do... there is a huge manufactorer and t-shirt seller here in Portugal with very cool designs but very expensive colorfull and cartoon, they are huge and have branches over europe... theyre called "THROTTLEMAN".. and they're t-shirts have the same plastic feeling but have some glossy effect that i like... they are a clothing brand like nike... pierre cardin... so everyone expects great quality... and even so... i had one t-shirt from them that bled the dark color a bit... no harm!
Enough of stories... i am on the process of using a mouse pad... (as soon as i buy one...)... for the Small t-shirts for women "S"... t-shirt is very small making it sit in the press with lots of ridges showing up... i'll have to use a mouse pad for sure!

So... i'll make some more tests... what times, pressure, and heat should i use?
Is to much heat not allowing the transfer to stick?
Thank you!
