Default Settings for Laser 1 Opaque and Oki 5500

I have the 5500 and the toner is flaking off the the Laser 1 paper when I peel it. I've tried "Heavy and Ultra Heavy", and a few other combos and I'm having the same problem.

do a search on the forum...seems to me I remember reading on here..or maybe on Heat Transfers For Desktop Printers (a yahoo group) that one of the runs of a laser transfer having that problem...not sure who made it...but they were making replacements I think. Is this from Coastal Business? Call them and see.. They are a sponsor on this site and have good customer support

Try glossy if the printer has it or transparency setting. You can also call Coastal Business Supplies or the your vendor and ask for advise.

I think one of the members is using laser opaque 1. He goes by the user name vctradingcubao. Try sending him a private email.

I wanted to bump this thread and see if anyone has gotten resolution to this issue. We are printing with a OKI C8600 and we are having issues with the black ink flaking of and smearing. I've tried every setting I know and the Laser 1 Opaque has this issue on every setting, some settings worse than others (the worse being Transparency and the best being Label 1).

We plan to call Conde and the paper company tomorrow.

Has anyone had success in eliminating this problem?

Susan and John
