Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could help me a transfer problem. I am trying to do a heat transfer that is a hot peel tranfer on a royal blue t-shirt. I have tried to do the transfer application according to the manufacture directions, but it looks terrible. I called them and they said that I need to increase the pressure I have already tried that. When it transfers on to shirt the lettering has little places where part of the transfer stayed on the sheet. There is yellow in the design it did not come off opaque. I have a Mighty Press, I increased pressure to heavy, dwell time to 12 seconds, preheat shirt for 10 seconds, and I preheated the platen for 45 seconds. I need some advice please. I have wasted so many transfers and I am ready to pull my hair out. I have tried to upload some pictures I took of one of the tee's but my file is too big to upload. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok where did u purchase transfers from and what were there instructions
Sounds like you should have used a hot split transfer. You need to be sure that your ink is thick enough for a light color to be opaque. Any hot peel light color ink could show color of shirt under it. Sounds like you did everything else OK.
