Mr Flannery

I'm a 23 year old graphic designer/photographer who has made many shirts through websites like cafepress and zazzle, etc. Unfortunately some of my designs either have rough language, or "inappropriate content" for their guidelines -- so I have to make my own. I live in Boston and I do a lot of work for local bands. My question is this -- where the hell do I start? Should I look into screen printing, or heat transfer? I'm not sure which method is right for me. A lot of my work is splatter brushes, indy/grunge. Like these fellas here.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I think the samples on that link are screen printed. If you plan to have just a few shirts printed, a DTG can also do the job, though more expensive.

Those designs are screen printed. I would take a look at the volume that you will be producing at least approximate, then I would either plan to select on following: DTG - good for few prints but a bit pricey to start with ... screen printing for volume prints...or you can outsource to a local printer and concentrate on selling the shirts is another option. hope this help.
