Default got a hold of thousands of vintage transfers

What a cool trip to the past!

I work at a shop which from time to time ran a screen printing buisness. They were going to throw a box out and I grabbed it for ebay. On top were the Rolling Stones and White Russian but when I got home I found it had a bit more. Prolly around 1000 pieces all together. They are all vintage and have copyright dates in the 70's and 80's.
I found out what the Star Wars is worth, close to $40. Sadly I only have 1 of those.

ants(never heard of them)

the amazing movie CONEHEADS!!!!

Smurfs!

Also have about 100 that say Ky State fair 1989, flintstones, generic ponies etc. I'm guessing I could sell it all for $500-$700 however I am curious what some of you all might gauge the price to be. Are they worthless? I was able to do a fair job of a rougher one with just an iron and it came out well.. Truthfully I am not in the shirt buisness, just got lucky to find a shash of old transfers and don't have a use for them.

I think if you put them on blanks and sell them on ebay you could get 20+ per shirt

I think printing them would be a great idea however I do not have a press and never used one before. Would it be expensive to have someone press them?

No way do you print them if you are looking for a cash out. You run them in an auction with a high reserve as a total lot or in groups to determine value and interest. They look like the old 70s lithos and you may be sitting on a good sum of cash. Dont print the damned things!!!!

Is it worth trying to scan or recreate the images somehow and then reselling the designs?

Nice collection, well spotted.

They are still protected by copyright, so that would be illegal.

Wowsers... definitely DON'T print them!

I'd get down to the dollar store and buy a handful of $1 frames and get them on eBay. I'd bet some of those will fetch a fair price. Heck... I've owned some of those.

They'd look great on a wall somewhere.
