Has anyone had transfers printed by Versatranz? I have my first big order to fill and I was wondering if anyone had used them before? I have had prints made from Transfer Express, and I like them very well, but the design that I am using is one that we(my customer, and I ) did together and they want to see a proof before ordering so many shirts from me. Transfer Express does prints from your artwork but to get a proof and the only proof they provide is one that is faxed and cost $40 per color. We are using 5 colors and that is quite expensive. I have explained to my customer that they charge a lot for small number of prints due to the cost involved in making etc. but she does not seem to be very happy about not being able to see what it looks like before a lot is printed. I am new at this, is it is customary for customers to want to see one before printed? What should I do? I have gotten so great advice from a couple of you before and I really need more. AHHHHH! I want my customer to be happy but do they always want to see sample before printing a large order? This could repeat business for me and I do not want to make her unhappy. Any suggestions, please?
Re: tranfer companies Tranfer Express or Versatranz
i think you should check out Ace Transfer Company .I like them over the two you mentioned. The fell of the finished product is far superior and the cost of transfer are coparable to one and cheaper than the other.I use ACE for all my transfer needs. I use them a few times a week. ... JB
Re: tranfer companies Tranfer Express or Versatranz
Thank you for the suggestions. What I am struggling with in terms of the ordering of a sample and setting a price is this. I have to order a minimum of 10 transfer with TE at 36.37 each. What if I order the 10, tell the customer it is going to cost $x to do a sample, but then they want to change something after they have seen the sample one then I would be stuck with 9 other transfers at $36 a piece . I am unsure of how to defer that cost. I do not know what I should do? If they like the sample one then I would be ok because I could reorder and get transfers at the reorder price which would be cheaper for me and the cost of the 10 min I had to buy I would include in my price to the customer.

I tell customers that most of the work is in the set up and if they want a sample garment it will cost them all set up charges, print and garment charge.I normally show them a paper copy and that works.I have had someone pay to see a finished product,.... JB
Re: tranfer companies Tranfer Express or Versatranz
I love transfer express transfers as I have never had a problem with one of them. I also just used Versatranz and did not have any trouble with theirs. Have you tried first edition? They are great also and they do not charge extra for a proof. They take a little longer, but they are good. I would suggest you tell them that all of these setup charges are included in a sample. But if you use first edition they will give you a proof and the other companies you do have to pay for it. I also just used Howards Sportswear and for being a first time customer, they did not charge me for a proof. Although the transfers have not arrived yet, so I cannot comment on them. However, all of their samples they sent me were great!

Versatranz is awesome! Great support, customer service and fast delivery. They talked me through the process and made it very easy. The transfers are rock solid in quality and look absolutely fantastic.

COEDS...
By feel of the finished product being superior than the others, are you saying that it has a softer hand than them? If so, does that apply to their Hot Split for dark garments as well?
I am trying to find another supplier for transfers that can give me a soft transfer for both light and dark garments and is easy to peel. Right now, VersaTranz, Transfer Express and Ace are on my list.
I've used F&M and they are great...both the product and people....but I am getting some resistance from customers on the look and feel (plasticy / vinyly) and need to find an alternative. I would love it if F&M could come up with a different transfer that had a soft look and feel to it.
