Default color shirts

I've been printing on white with no problem for about a month now. I'm branching out into other colors, light blue, pink and grey.
Using ironall the light blue came out pretty good but the grey has a darker look wherever the paper was (the empty space in the image). It almost looks like the shirt is slightly wet where the paper was.
I'm assuming that the grey is still a "light" shirt but am I getting to dark already? Would that happen if I used a light paper transfer on a darker shirt?

Thanks.
Mike.

Mike you would need to use the ironall made for dark shirts which can be bought where you purchase the light transfer paper.
I've had the same problem with the grey so I cut as close and as much out as I can.
Good Luck with the darks I don't like the plastic feel they have.

Hi Mike,

I have had good luck with Alpha Gold Dark from Alpha Supply:

Alpha Heat Transfer Paper for White and Colored Fabrics

This site has a lot of good information on the heat transfer business. You can learn a lot by checking their site out. If you call them, they will try and help you out with any question or problem you might have.

For the Alpha Gold Dark paper they have a Hi-Gloss pressing sheet that really works great with photographs. They have some pictures using it that are pretty impressive.

I hope this helps and Good Luck.

Bill M

Question Light paper on light pink and light blue shirt.

I tried light ironall paper on a light pink and a light blue shirt. The shirts were very light. The image came out great but after a wash I can see that the color is changed anywhere there was empty paper.

Is that all that can be expected when heat pressing onto sky blue or light pink? For now I'm just going to get shirts with sleeve colors or ringer shirts because I can't seem to get a transfer to a light shirt that works.

I use IW Jet II from imprintables on grey shirts and it works great.. I have tried the Jetflex Premium from them also (which I think is the same as ironall) and had the same discoloration problems..

Where can it be purchased?

I don't care much for their "Super Soft Feel" - I guess it is something like Ironall --
I have not had good luck using a full transfer sheet in a top feed epson printer . .
it's like the transfer paper is to thin and the rollers in the printer won't keep a good hold on it (if that makes sense)
I only use it for the smaller size Tee's -- to much waste, (JMO)
although, it does feel good on a Tee . .
