Default Everlast, Transjet II, and Coastal Brand

Okay, I'm new to this forum, and I've most of the issues regarding the Ironall/Everlast paper issues in the past, but I still wanted to touch on my experience in using the Everlast transfers.

First off, the reason I went with Everlast is because of all the kudos that it recieved in this forum and in other places I looked at, and after contacting Coastal (who I used to work with years back...great company, btw) they said the Everlast was indeed all that it was cracked up to be.

Well, I had flaking, pinholes, and the washing wasn't anything to brag about.

I called Coastal just today and they're going to pick up my unused paper at no cost, credit my account, and send me seom replacements. But first, they're going to send some free samples of four or their top papers so that I can try then at no charge. Apparantly, they've had more than plenty of negative feedback regarding the everlast paper and with the same complaints that I had. I was actually the third person calling them just today regarding these same issues.

IMO, and I've used various papers in the past...but not in awhile since I've been out of the industry for three years and I'm not back in it again...not all the way, but still in it...this Ironall/Everlast paper is one of the most controversial that I've ever witnessed. People either love it or hate it but there are mixed results all over the map. It's really interesting to see all this, no matter how you slice it.

Btw, cool forum, and I look forward to acquiring more knowledge in here.

Regards,
Juan

I think some of the issues people have with papers, is thier expectations. They want it to print beautiful, soft and vibrant. When the paper they have doesn't it lets them down. To me it's a give and take. I like the soft hand of Ironall. but I must admit that I have had some issues with it cracking and peeling and fading. I tried all the inkjet brands on the market and the one I have liked for Vibrancy in color is Ironman (by coastal too). But it has a gloss plastic feel.
