How do I go about getting started in this business. I am totally new to this. I just recently purchased a Epson 1280 printer w/ bulk system, K20s heat press, corel draw 12. What would be the best route for now, pre printed transfers or designs. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just depends on where you want to go. Are you looking into just dealing with organizations, business's or the such? Do you already have a website domain and going to sell t shirts via web? If web then you can sell your ideas and pre printed I guess. Just really depends in what direction you are going to.

Basically I'm trying to learn the business. I'm just getting started and is working out of my home. I've been buying pre made transfers. I would like to sell to orginazations and local retail stores. I'm doing my home work on starting a web site now. I'm in need of some serious assistance. Do you know where I can get a good price on transfers?

Yes, or a good tutorial for corel draw cx3. Like how do I use pictures that in my photos to make the right size transfers.

Not sure but forum member Fluid might be able to help you with the corel. My husband is the one on the design end, wish I could help you out on that one.

Well for retails and organizations you might want have a portfolio of your designs and maybe a couple of example t shirts so the person that you are speaking with can see the quality that you will be giving them. Maybe already have a price sheet up and ready to go so if they are interested you are ready in that format. I know that I have read where some forum members go to consignment shops and get set up in those. Not really sure who your target market is, knowing that might be able to see about more suggestions.

Here are a couple of threads that might help you along in your website.

The best route to choose will depend on what your CUSTOMERS want. Do they want a custom design with their logo or are they looking for a pre-printed design of a specific theme.

I would suggest that you create some sort of business plan that will help you outline the equipment needed and more importantly the advertising ane marketing that will be necessary to get business.

Just search through the Graphics and Design section of the forum and you'll see all sorts of tutorials and links to more tutorials for coreldraw.

You can find premade transfers at proworldinc.com, dowling-graphics.com, airwavesinc.com and probably more places as well (by using the forum search for stock transfers).
