i have an epson stylus dx2450 and im a beginer i need to no if the ink is good to use also i need to know what tranfer sheets to use ??????????
help me out !!!!!!!!
Hi Jack,
Are you sure you have an Epson? Everything I see for DX2450 is an HP printer. Not sure why. If you are using a DX, are you in UK or Europe? If it is an Epson, go to your regional Epson site and search your printer number. In the specs it will tell you what type of ink your printer uses.
For light or white shirts a good paper is Jetpro Sofstretch (also called JPSS around here) is liked. Another paper some folks like is Ironall. You can search both of these names on the forum for the user feedback.
For dark shirts, folks like Ironall Dark and JetWear Dark. Again, searching those names will yield user feedback.
What is the story on your printer? I didn't see any Epson dx2450 on google. (?)

Hi Jack, I am not familiar with that line of clothing. Most lines are screen printed, as it's the industry standard. Try to find out if they are screened.
For your printer, Epson Stylus DX8450 | C11C69031, just googling the printer model number and epson returned this page above.
Your printer uses Durabrite ultra ink, which is pigment ink. Pigment ink is good to use with the paper I mentioned in the above post. If you want to print inkjet heat transfers, you are good to go with this ink.
If you get yellowing, reduce the amount of yellow in the printer preferences, about -10 to -20 works for most people. If your colors change from the original colors in the transfer process, then you are getting "color shifting". You'll need to stop using the Epson ink and buy a 3rd party generic pigment ink to solve that issue. Not everyone has it, so it's nothing to worry about. I reduced the yellow on my printer and I don't get color shifting, but not everyone is as lucky.

Now you'll be over in the screen print area, and that's not my area. But I did a search for you, and here are a few threads results to get you started over there:
