Hi errbuddy,
I'm looking to buy another printer, Can someone please tell me what other types of epson printers apart from the epson c88, that use pigmented inks i can use to printer my transfer? Inkjet preferrably
thank you
jeff
I've got the Epson stylus CX5000 all in one it use's durabrite ink.My only problem is getting the colors of Grey and black to press as true grey and black they have a greenish yellow tint when pressed.I've pulled some hair on this one.Thinking of looking into laser but the inks are a bit higher I need to do some comparisons.Good luck with your hunt.

This is common with Durabrite inks. Have you tried working with your color profile settings? This solves the problem for most people; Setting your color profile to +5 Cyan, +5 Magenta, and =15 Yellow is a good place to start (you may or may not need to ajdust further from there).
Yes I have tried those settings and there's still a tint.To adjust would I add or minus the same amout to each one(Cyan,Magenta and Yellow) Thank you for all your help.

Hey man i used an epson r300 and it worked great up untill the tornado took it out. Joined Navy reserves and now im looking into buy another one, or a laser printer so i can get started again. If I get the r300 im going to get it with the picture card viewer so I can keep some of my most popular designs on memory disk or usb pen and print off as needed directly from the printer.

I mat do you think laser is better then inkjet. Thanks
I have never pressed a laser transfer but I have printed one out and it looks better quality. Laser is better but the equipment cost up front is higher then what Im willing to pay right now. I have a r300 and a cx4600 with very clogged print heads and if I can get them unclogged I will use them instead of buying another. In a couple of months after I make some money I would like to migrate to a laser cause the over cost per page is better. I dont remember the excact cost but a full size page transfer cost lost like .75 with inkjet and a laser was .30. It might have been .30 inkjet and laser .10 cents but Im to tired to remember and I cannot find the tread that had better details.
