Re: Help! Mistake with a heat transfer on a shirt. It depends of if you used light or dark transfer paper. If it's light paper, I don't have a clue. I tried using one of those spray guns with the special solvent in it that screen printers use to spray away transfers on a white t-shirt and all it did was bleed all over the shirt.
If you used dark transfer paper, I've read (on this site) that you should put a normal piece of paper over the transfer and heat with the hotpress. The transfer will stick to the paper and should remove.
Another suggestion is to use dark transfer paper and press the design, printed a little bigger, over the messed up design to conceal it. It'll make the shirt feel twice as thick, but it's better than nothing.
