Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Hello, this is my first time on the forum so please have patience with me. My name is Shirley my husband Ron and I started an embroidery business a little over 5 years ago. We added sublimation and in the last 6 months vinyl and heat press. We still have lot to learn with the heat press. One question I have is. Using the Roland GX24 cutter with the optical eye how do you transfer a cut design that is not all one piece? ie. A baseball exploding so you would have little fragments of the ball that would not be attach to the main picture. Is there a special paper you transfer the design to and then transfer it to the shirt to heat press? Thank in advance Shirley
Welcome to the forums shirley. For free floating designs/parts cut on a cutter such as the GX24, you will need to use a special heat resistant "carrier sheet". Josh from imprintables.com posted some videos using this carrier sheet.
Thank you Bryon, Where can I view the video by Josh? We purchased our cutter from Imprintables. I don't remember seeing anything on this subject.
